Joseph Zavala, an 18-year-old Hispanic male from Waterbury, Connecticut, was fatally wounded in a shooting on the evening of November 18, 2023. The incident occurred near the intersection of North Main Street and Kingsbury Street. Following the shooting, Zavala was privately transported to the emergency room at Saint Mary's Hospital with a serious gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
