Becky Switzer, a 49-year-old resident of Waterbury, Connecticut, was fatally shot on June 15, 2023. The incident occurred at an apartment complex on Eastern Avenue, where police were called just before 1 a.m. for a reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found Switzer with a gunshot wound to the head. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
