Noah Shahnavaz, a 24-year-old police officer from Elwood, Indiana, tragically lost his life on July 31, 2022. Shahnavaz was conducting a routine traffic stop at the intersection of State Road 37 and County Road 1100 North in Elwood when he was fatally shot. The suspect, Carl Roy Webb Boards II, allegedly fired 36 shots at Shahnavaz, striking him multiple times. Shahnavaz was found by responding officers still seated in his patrol vehicle with his gun holstered.
