In the early morning hours of October 11, 2018, a tragedy unfolded in Waterbury, Connecticut, that claimed the life of 30-year-old Fransua Guzman, a Black or African American female, and left another woman paralyzed. Known to her friends as "Frankie," Guzman was a devoted mother of four children. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. when both Guzman and her friend, 54-year-old Darlene Mazon, were standing outside a residence on Walnut Street.
