In the afternoon sunshine of July 17, 2023, a violent encounter at a Sonic Drive-In in Colorado Springs shattered the day's routine and ended the life of 32-year-old Solton Heshmaty. At approximately 1:43 p.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department received a report of a shooting at the fast-food restaurant located in the 600 block of N. Chelton Road.
