Nathaniel Dixon, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on December 10, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred on the sidewalk in the 3600 block of West Lexington Street in the North Lawndale neighborhood. According to reports, Dixon was approached by an unidentified male who fired shots at him, striking him in the groin.
Dixon was subsequently taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into Nathaniel Dixon's death revealed that he was one of two men shot within the same hour on the West Side of Chicago. The other victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot in an alley in the 4000 block of West Monroe Street and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. Despite the proximity and timing of the shootings, no arrests have been made in either case, and Area North detectives continue to investigate.
