In the late afternoon of a Wednesday in Colorado Springs, a burst of violence shattered the calm of a residential neighborhood. Leroy Pruitt Jr., a 42-year-old male, was caught in the tragic events that unfolded on August 14, 2024. The Colorado Springs Police Department received reports of a shooting in the 300 block of Ellers Grove, an area situated northwest of the Colorado Springs Airport, just after 5:30 p.m.
