On May 26, 2023, 25-year-old Desiree Folsom, a female from Iowa Falls, was found deceased in a residence in Eldora, Iowa. Her death was the result of a shooting. In the days following the discovery of her body, a suspect was identified and a search was initiated.

The primary suspect in Folsom's death was Nathan Cole Bahr, 29, of Iowa Falls. Investigators determined that just one day prior to her death, on May 25, a protective order had been issued against Bahr on Folsom's behalf in Hardin ...
