On the cold winter day of December 30, 1987, a horrific scene unfolded within the otherwise quiet town of Algona, Iowa. Inside the home of John and Agnes Dreesman, a family gathering for the holidays took a devastating turn. Marilyn Chuang, a 48-year-old female, was visiting her parents along with her three children. What should have been a time of joy and family togetherness became a scene of unimaginable violence.
