Bethany Castro, a 25-year-old resident of Des Moines, Iowa, died on July 23, 2020, due to a gunshot injury. The incident occurred in the suburb of Pleasant Hill, just east of Des Moines. On the evening of July 22, 2020, Castro was shot in the head by her boyfriend, Phillip Koromah.
