In the early morning hours of July 23, 2020, the life of 25-year-old Bethany Castro was tragically cut short in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. A Hispanic female from Des Moines, Castro was found by police in the 100 block of Christie Lane just after 1:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound to her head. She was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
