On May 23, 2004, Sally Kennedy, a 46-year-old woman from Council Bluffs, Iowa, lost her life to violent circumstances. Kennedy was the owner of a traveling carnival known as Blue's Amusements, and she had been in an intimate relationship with Michael Gunther, who also managed the carnival.
