Miranda Arlene Stierwalt, a 27-year-old woman from Des Moines, Iowa, was shot to death on July 15, 2020. The suspect in her murder was her boyfriend, Daniel Francis Dooley.

Dooley had a history of domestic violence against Miranda. In September 2019, he was charged with domestic abuse after strangling Miranda, an incident during which Miranda told police she believed Dooley was going to kill her.
