In the spring of 2001, the life of 17-year-old Josie Peterson, a Black/African American female, was tragically cut short in Des Moines, Iowa. On March 8th, she was found stabbed to death, not as a solitary victim, but as part of a horrifying quadruple homicide that shook the community. The violent attack also claimed the lives of her 17-year-old boyfriend, Taelor Marks, and his grandparents, Richard and Jane Larson, who were 64 and 63 years old respectively.
