In the early morning hours of December 19, 2022, a tragedy unfolded inside a home on 53rd Street in Des Moines, Iowa, ending the life of 47-year-old Danielle Remily, a White female. She and her 20-year-old daughter, Emma Parker, were found shot to death in what police would later describe as a double homicide. The incident was a violent conclusion to a domestic situation, leaving a family and community in mourning.
