Alston Troy Edwards, a 21-year-old from Des Moines, Iowa, lost his life due to gun violence on October 29, 2020. The incident occurred on the city's east side, near the intersection of E 14th and Walker Street. On the evening of the shooting, police responded to the scene before 7:30 p.m. and found a 29-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg; she was treated and released from the hospital.
