In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Davenport, Iowa, the life of Andre Shrell Clanton Jr., a 37-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. Just before 5 a.m. on May 21, 2023, police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1300 block of Judson Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered Andre Clanton suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed from the scene, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries, passing away from the fatal wound.
