In Davenport, Iowa, on a late Thursday morning, July 24, 2025, a report of an abandoned vehicle led to a grim discovery. Inside the car, located in the 1000 block of South Rolff Street, police found the body of 37-year-old LC Ball Jr., a Black/African American male. An investigation revealed that he had died from a gunshot wound. Authorities have stated that the incident does not appear to have been a random act of violence.
The investigation into the death of LC Ball Jr.
quickly led to suspects. Two teenagers were arrested and charged in connection with the homicide. Kyontah L.D. Little, who is 19 years old, and a 16-year-old male whose name has not been released due to his age, were both charged with first-degree murder and robbery.
The case remains under investigation by the Davenport Police Department. Authorities have encouraged anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and contact the Davenport Police Department or to submit an anonymous tip through QC Crime Stoppers.
