In Davenport, Iowa, on a late Thursday morning, July 24, 2025, a report of an abandoned vehicle led to a grim discovery. Inside the car, located in the 1000 block of South Rolff Street, police found the body of 37-year-old LC Ball Jr., a Black/African American male. An investigation revealed that he had died from a gunshot wound. Authorities have stated that the incident does not appear to have been a random act of violence.
