In the early hours of a Sunday morning, on August 10, 2014, the life of 17-year-old Marcus Anthony Jones, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Davenport, Iowa. Shortly after midnight, Jones was discovered in a yard in the 500 block of East 13th Street, suffering from a serious injury that was suspected to be a gunshot wound.
