On February 13, 2022, a deadly shooting occurred in the parking lot of a restaurant near University Drive and Center Street in Mesa, Arizona. The victim, 27-year-old Alejandro Saldano Hernandez, was involved in a disagreement with a group of individuals, including Jose Ivan Chavez Garcia and his friends. This argument originated inside the restaurant and escalated into a physical altercation in the parking lot.
