On July 29, 2022, a tragic incident occurred in west Phoenix, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Hector Matthew Pena-Dominguez. The shooting took place around 1:30 p.m. in the area near 6800 West Devonshire Avenue, although some reports also mention the vicinity of 67th Avenue and Indian School Road as the location of the incident.
