Murdered

On June 11, 2014, Father Kenneth Walker, a 28-year-old priest of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP), was murdered during a reported burglary at the Mater Misericordiae Mission in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The attack also left Father Joseph Terra, the pastor of the mission, with serious injuries. Father Walker was shot by the assailant, while Father Terra was beaten multiple times with an angle iron and later administered the last rites to Father Walker despite his own suffering.
