In the winter of 2014, the life of 35-year-old Osvaldo Raul Vargas of Tucson, Arizona, was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. On the evening of January 14, 2014, Vargas was outside his home when he became the victim of a drive-by shooting. He sustained a critical gunshot wound to the head and was rushed to the University Medical Center for emergency treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Vargas succumbed to his injuries six days later, on January 20, 2014.
