In the winter of 2014, the life of 35-year-old Osvaldo Raul Vargas of Tucson, Arizona, was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. In the wake of his death, a GoFundMe page was established to provide financial support for his grieving family. Even in his final moments, Vargas gave the gift of life to others through organ donation.
The Tucson Police Department launched a homicide investigation into the death of Osvaldo Raul Vargas. However, the case has remained unsolved, with no arrests made and no suspects publicly identified. The case is listed as an open homicide by 88-CRIME, a non-profit organization that works with local law enforcement to help solve cold cases. The lack of resolution has left his family and community searching for answers and justice for a man remembered as a beloved husband, father, son, and brother.
