In the early morning hours of October 24, 2016, the sound of a loud crash shattered the pre-dawn stillness in a Phoenix, Arizona neighborhood. Residents near 3100 W. Pierce Street were drawn to their windows and then to their phones, alerting police to the disturbance at approximately 4:38 a.m. When officers arrived, they discovered a vehicle that had collided with a fence.
