In the autumn of 2020, the life of John Ray Lawton, a 45-year-old male, was abruptly ended in Ithaca, New York. On the evening of Wednesday, October 21, 2020, the sound of gunshots pierced the air in the 500 block of West State Street. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Lawton deceased, having sustained an apparent gunshot wound.
