In the early morning hours of June 7, 2018, a violent encounter in Tucson left a 54-year-old man, Michael Grove, dead and a woman critically injured. The incident unfolded just after 7:00 a.m. in the 200 block of West Illinois Street, where police discovered both Grove and an adult female in the roadway with gunshot wounds.
