In the autumn of 2018, the life of Reilly Thacker, a 21-year-old White/Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in Tucson, Arizona. On the evening of October 17th, police were called to an apartment complex located at 8601 E. Old Spanish Trail, responding to a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Reilly Thacker unresponsive on the floor of the apartment he shared with his wife.
He had sustained a gunshot wound.
Paramedics, taking over from his wife who had initiated CPR, worked to save him but were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives investigating the incident determined that the shooting occurred in the midst of a physical altercation between Reilly and his 21-year-old wife, Cienna Thacker. It was Cienna who had picked up a handgun and fired the fatal shot. Following the shooting, she was the one who dialed 911 to report the incident.
In the immediate aftermath of Reilly's death, Cienna Thacker was not arrested, as the investigation into the shooting was still active and ongoing. However, the case took another tragic turn just two days later. On October 19, 2018, Cienna Thacker was found deceased inside a vehicle. Her death was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, bringing a somber and definitive end to the investigation into her husband's death. No arrests were made in the case.
