In the morning hours of a Saturday in Tucson, Arizona, the life of 42-year-old Rene Romero was tragically cut short. On February 12, 2022, a dispute unfolded in the rear parking lot of the Roger Plaza Apartments, situated at 102 W. Roger Road, near North Oracle Road. The disagreement escalated to violence, culminating in a fatal shooting. Multiple 911 calls were placed around 9:20 a.m., alerting police to the sound of gunfire and a possible victim inside a vehicle.
