Luis Puente, a 24-year-old from Tucson, Arizona, lost his life to gun violence on June 12, 2019. The incident involved a complex sequence of events that began with a shooting report at an apartment complex near Valencia and 12th Avenue. When police arrived at the complex, they found an apartment unit with its door open but could not locate anyone who had been shot.
