In the early evening of a winter day in Tucson, Arizona, the life of Thomas W. Ortenzi, a 40-year-old male, was brought to an abrupt and violent end. On January 5, 2020, in a neighborhood on the east side of the city, Ortenzi was shot and killed. The incident, which unfolded near the intersection of East 29th Street and South Columbus Boulevard, left a family grappling with a sudden and devastating loss.
