Kirstion Marie Fish, a 22-year-old Caucasian woman, was found deceased on November 3, 2020, in a citrus grove in Yuma, Arizona. An investigation into her death revealed she had been shot and killed the previous day, November 2, 2020. The suspect in her murder was identified as 23-year-old Jorge Alan Aguilar-Hernandez.
The investigation uncovered that Aguilar-Hernandez and Fish had met a few years prior at a vocational training school in Phoenix.
At the time of her death, it was reported that Fish had borrowed $5,000 from Aguilar-Hernandez and had moved to Oregon without repaying the debt, which prosecutors cited as a motive for the murder. On November 2, 2020, Aguilar-Hernandez picked up Fish from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and they drove to Yuma.
Following the discovery of her body, Aguilar-Hernandez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. After a two-year court process, he pleaded guilty to the charge. During his sentencing, Aguilar-Hernandez offered an apology to Fish's family. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after serving a minimum of 25 years. Following her death, Kirstion's family created a GoFundMe page to assist with the costs of returning her body to her parents in Washington State.
