On January 17, 2021, a fatal shooting occurred at a night club located along University Drive in Phoenix, Arizona. The incident resulted in the death of 24-year-old Ahmad Thornton.

The shooting took place early in the morning, around 5:00 a.m. According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident was part of a larger altercation that led to a homicide investigation. In addition to Ahmad Thornton's death, six adult males were injured in the same incident.
