On May 4, 2021, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a shooting incident occurred at an apartment complex in the area of 5500 North 17th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona. Witnesses reported hearing several shots, and shortly thereafter, a 20-year-old male victim, identified as Devon C. Bishop, was found by witnesses.

Devon C. Bishop was transported to a nearby hospital by fire personnel with extremely critical injuries. Despite medical efforts, he was later pronounced dead.
