In the early morning hours of June 27, 2021, a burst of violence at a Mesa, Arizona motel cut short the life of 28-year-old Michael Johnny Gonzalez. The male victim was at the Frontier Motel located at 1307 E. Main St. when the fatal encounter unfolded. The incident began when a man fired a handgun at Gonzalez through the glass of a hotel room. The aggression didn't stop there; the assailant then pursued Gonzalez into the parking lot, where he fired several more shots, ultimately killing him.
