On a Sunday evening in Mesa, Arizona, a dispute that began over money escalated into a fatal encounter, leaving one man dead. Al-Hajjii Khaliph-Jamez Brooks, a 42-year-old male, was shot and killed on February 19, 2023, in the parking lot of a bar and grill located near Country Club Drive and Brown Road. The incident stemmed from an argument over an unpaid debt.
