On December 28, 2022, 31-year-old Jose Olvera Ramirez was found dead in a roadway near 8th Avenue and Country Club Road in Mesa, Arizona. He was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot. Ramirez, a resident of Miami, AZ, was born on January 4, 1991, to Joe and Lisa (Olvera) Sgrignoli. He attended Miami schools and Project Challenge Military School, graduating in 2009. Ramirez was known for his love of music and writing, having even had one of his poems published in elementary school.
