In the early morning hours of December 29, 2021, a night out in Phoenix, Arizona, turned tragic for 27-year-old Everardo Sandoval. He was a male who, along with two companions, had just left a club located near 19th Avenue and Camelback Road. As they departed, their vehicle was unknowingly followed by a black Hyundai, setting the stage for a senseless act of violence that would cut short two young lives.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., as the vehicle carrying Sandoval and his friends came to
a stop at a red light at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Camelback Road, the pursuing black Hyundai pulled up alongside them. Without warning, multiple rounds were fired from a rifle into the victims' car. The sudden barrage of bullets struck Sandoval and another passenger, 21-year-old Jorge Granados. The third individual in the vehicle was fortunate to escape without any physical injuries.
When Phoenix police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a chaotic and heartbreaking situation. Everardo Sandoval was pronounced deceased at the scene, having sustained fatal injuries from the gunfire.
