In the fall of 2022, the life of 17-year-old Haron Mendivil Arballo was tragically cut short. On the evening of Friday, November 18, 2022, Haron was at Rudy Garcia Park in Tucson, Arizona, when he was killed in a shooting. Another young man, 20-year-old Jorge Santini Baragan, also lost his life in the same incident, which the Tucson Police Department later classified as a double homicide.
The investigation into the deaths of the two young men led to the identification of two suspects.
Roman Salazar-Solis was arrested in connection with the shooting and was subsequently charged with two counts of first-degree murder. As the investigation continued, a second suspect, Luis Mario Tello-Fierros, was also identified and taken into custody on December 1, 2022. He faced the same charges of two counts of first-degree murder. The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to seek information from the public regarding the events that transpired at the park that night.
