At the time of her death, Scott was four months pregnant with a baby boy.
Phoenix police discovered Scott's body along with those of 27-year-old Jacob De Zeeuw and his
six-year-old son. Investigators quickly determined that the incident was a murder-suicide. According to police reports, De Zeeuw fatally shot both Sarah Scott and his young son before turning the gun on himself.
