Lionel Daniel Mathews, a 21-year-old resident of Tucson, Arizona, was found dead with gunshot wounds on July 19, 2023. The incident occurred in the 3000 block of South 6th Avenue, where South Tucson Police Department (STPD) responded to a report of a shooting around 1:00 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Mathews' body.
