On September 21, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred at a west Phoenix apartment complex, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Stefon Harris. Officers from the Phoenix Police Department responded to the scene near 59th Avenue and Roosevelt Street around 11 p.m. and found Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
