On November 20, 2023, Richard Hodakievic, a 69-year-old resident of Glendale, Arizona, was fatally shot in a random and horrific act of violence. The incident occurred at a bus stop near the intersection of 51st Avenue and Northern Avenue in the afternoon. Hodakievic was sitting at the bus stop along with another victim, 24-year-old Jaquey James, when they were approached by the suspect, 26-year-old Dominic Celaya.
