In the early hours of a Saturday morning, the sounds of a house party in Glendale, Arizona were tragically silenced by gunfire. On January 30, 2016, 19-year-old Sean Marquez was among those who lost their lives in a violent shooting that erupted as the gathering was winding down. The incident, which took place around 3:33 a.m. in the front yard of a residence near 6500 West Orange Drive, left two other young men, including 19-year-old Jose Aguirre-Martinez, dead and five other people with
non-life-threatening injuries.
According to reports, an altercation occurred when a group of individuals were asked to leave the party. Shortly after, a white four-door sedan drove past the house, and its occupants began firing into the crowd of people in the front yard. The suspects were described as Hispanic males, estimated to be in their late teens or early 20s. After the shooting, they fled the scene in their vehicle.
In the aftermath of the deadly shooting, the Glendale Police Department launched an investigation into the triple homicide. Information about the case was shared publicly in an effort to generate leads, and Silent Witness offered a reward of up to $1,000 for any information that would lead to an arrest.
