An 18-year-old male, Brenner Justin Anderson, was fatally shot in Glendale, Arizona, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, in what police have described as a robbery. The incident occurred at an apartment complex situated near 43rd Avenue and Lamar. Following the shooting, a friend transported Anderson to a local hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
The investigation into Anderson's death revealed that the events leading to the fatal shooting were orchestrated
through social media. Anderson's friend informed Glendale police that a transaction for the sale of marijuana had been arranged with a young woman online. However, when the woman arrived for the arranged meeting, she was accompanied by two other individuals. It was during this encounter that the robbery attempt took place, resulting in Anderson being shot.
Through the use of social media, Glendale police were able to identify and locate three suspects in connection with the homicide. On Friday, July 1, 2016, authorities arrested 18-year-old Salem Ornelas, 18-year-old Talmontrai Taylor, and an unidentified 17-year-old female. All three individuals are facing felony murder charges for their alleged involvement in the death of Brenner Justin Anderson.
