In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Glendale, Arizona, a life was tragically cut short. Eighteen-year-old Nathan Cabadas, a young man, found himself in a fatal altercation on December 23, 2015. The events unfolded in the parking lot of a shopping center near 51st and Northern avenues, a place of commerce turned into a scene of violence.
Just before 11 p.m., reports of a shooting prompted a response from Glendale police.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Nathan suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics from the Glendale Fire Department worked to save him, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the shooting stemmed from a dispute. It is believed that Nathan was in an altercation with one individual when a second person produced a firearm and shot him. The two suspects, described as African-American men, fled the scene, heading southbound in a light-colored four-door sedan, possibly a Honda.
In the immediate aftermath, law enforcement appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the whereabouts of the individuals responsible for Nathan's death. However, despite their efforts, no arrests were made in connection with the shooting, and the suspects remained at large.
