In the late evening of May 14, 2024, Jarvous Dwayne Washington, a 51-year-old male, was shot at an apartment complex in Phoenix, Arizona. The incident occurred at approximately 9:52 p.m. near 26th Avenue and Glenrosa Avenue. According to reports, an unknown male suspect shot Washington while he was standing in the doorway of his apartment.
Phoenix police officers responded to a call about the shooting around 10:00 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Washington with at least one gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital for his injuries but did not survive.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and authorities have not yet publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests. Detectives are actively working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting. The Phoenix Police Department and Silent Witness are seeking information from the public to help solve the case. There is a reward of up to $2,000 for any information that leads to an arrest.
Silent Witness has released a description of two potential suspects. Both are described as Black males, approximately 30 years old. One suspect is estimated to be 5'9' tall, while the second is described as 5'6' tall.
