In the early morning hours of August 29, 2024, a tragedy unfolded in a South Phoenix home that claimed the life of 51-year-old Jesus Larson. A male resident of the community, Mr. Larson was in his bed when the peace of the night was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Several shots were fired at his residence located in the vicinity of 8th Street and Desert Drive South. One of the bullets penetrated the walls of his home, striking and fatally wounding him as he slept.
