Minhaj Jamshidi, a 19-year-old student from Tucson, Arizona, was fatally shot on the University of Arizona campus on the night of September 23, 2024. The incident occurred at the volleyball courts near the Arizona-Sonora dormitory, following a fight between Jamshidi and the suspect, Ryan Romero-Encinas. Jamshidi, who was attending Pima Community College and studying building and construction technology, died at the scene.
