On October 13, 2024, Johnny Grammatico, a 45-year-old resident of Phoenix, Arizona, was fatally shot in the passenger cab of a U-Haul truck located near 49th Avenue and Thunderbird Road in Phoenix. The incident was reported to police via a 911 call, with the caller stating that a man had been shot and the suspect was still in the area in a gray Nissan car.
