On a late afternoon in Yuma, Arizona, the quiet of September 22, 2022, was shattered by the discovery of a double homicide. Daniel Herrera Jr., a 31-year-old Hispanic male from San Luis, Arizona, was found deceased alongside 28-year-old Kristin Carrillo. Both had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and were located on the side of the road near County 13th Street and Avenue F.
