In the mid-afternoon hours of October 26, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the calm in a midtown Tucson, Arizona neighborhood. When the echo of the shots faded, 41-year-old Tyler Gonzales, was left with life-threatening injuries. The shooting occurred in the 5400 block of East 30th Street, near the intersection of South Craycroft Road and East 29th Street. Tucson police officers were dispatched to the scene just after 3 p.m. following reports of the shooting.
